Each year, beginning in September and ending in early May, the two Danville parishes, Holy Family and St. Paul, jointly hold Thursday classes on the Catholic faith. These classes are part of RCIA. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) program for non-Catholic adults to learn more about Catholicism, about its history, its teachings, its graces, and its demands.
The RCIA process is comprised of catechumens: those who have never been baptized and want to learn more about Catholicism; candidates: those who were baptized in another religion and now desire to be Catholics; and sponsors: Catholics who have offered to walk with the catechumens or candidates in this phase of their faith journey with the Lord.
Come and see the truth, the beauty, the history, and the holiness of the Catholic Church.
